George Strait

He's always made me feel comfortable, like I'm close to my dad and everything is just right.  I love listening to George; he's literally been playing in my life since I was born.

His music is so varied...it always sounds "typical" George Strait, but he's managed to keep up with the times while holding fast to the old style country ballads.  I am always impressed with his career and longevity, and how each and every one of his songs strikes some chord in me.

I was walking around Target with my iPod today (Thanks for the giftcard, Ellen!), listening to his 50 number one hits, when "Today my world slipped away" came on, followed by "Round about way"...talk about my last week!  That's when it hit me:

If a man makes me want to listen to George Strait, I'm in love.

Play me George Strait, sing along with him...yep, I'll be melting in a sappy little corner.

I have a feeling I'm going to meet the man of my dreams in my cowboy boots.
